We are glad that you’ve taken time to learn more about our church, and we hope this website gives you a glimpse into what we desire to be about as a family of faith.

We strive to keep things focused on two simple phrases: “making disciples” and “maturing disciples.”  In short, we want to be a church that helps others connect with Jesus Christ in a saving relationship, and then we want to be a church that helps others grow in their relationship with Jesus.  That’s the heart behind what we value, and what we are striving to be about, as a church family!

Of course, the best way to get to know us is to join us!  Come and visit us for a few weeks and see for yourself what this family of faith is all about.  We think what you’ll find is a great place for you and your family to be, with numerous opportunities for everyone to grow, serve, and develop in your faith.  We hope to see you soon.  When you visit, let us know that you learned about the church through the website.  God bless you & yours!

Dear Friends…

I hope that this has been a wonderful week for you.  I know that we started it off correctly as we were able to meet together in WORSHIP!  After 9 weeks of being apart, how good it was to be in the house of the Lord.  Thank you to the Praise Team for leading us in a wonderful time of praise and worship.  We often pray here at SSBC thanking God for the privilege of worship.   After this time of separation, we know even more what a privilege it is to meet together.  Let us not ever take that for granted.

Hebrews 10:25 in the NIV says “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another – and all the more as you see the Day (of His return) approaching!”  How important it is that “we not give up meeting together”, at least on the Lord’s Day, in worship and praise of Him.  I hope, as we join back together that you will see the importance of making this a regular and blessed part of your week.

Directions on dealing with mass gatherings change almost daily.  For this Sunday, we will continue to meet as we did this past Sunday.  Worship will be at 10:45am (doors will open at 10:30am) practicing social distancing and then deep cleaning following the service.  Soon we will communicate with you concerning restarting our LifeGroups, Kids’ Church, nursery, etc.  Please pray for wisdom and guidance.

I look forward to seeing this coming Sunday!  If you have a moment, please drop me a text (620-675-0191) and let me know how many will be with you in worship this Sunday.  It is a help to have seats organized for those in attendance.

See you in His House!

Blessings on you all!

Pastor Tim
