We are glad that you’ve taken time to learn more about our church, and we hope this website gives you a glimpse into what we desire to be about as a family of faith.

We strive to keep things focused on two simple phrases: “making disciples” and “maturing disciples.”  In short, we want to be a church that helps others connect with Jesus Christ in a saving relationship, and then we want to be a church that helps others grow in their relationship with Jesus.  That’s the heart behind what we value, and what we are striving to be about, as a church family!

Of course, the best way to get to know us is to join us!  Come and visit us for a few weeks and see for yourself what this family of faith is all about.  We think what you’ll find is a great place for you and your family to be, with numerous opportunities for everyone to grow, serve, and develop in your faith.  We hope to see you soon.  When you visit, let us know that you learned about the church through the website.  God bless you & yours!

MAY 16, 2020

Dear Friends,

I trust and pray that each one of you is doing well.  These last weeks have been crazy times, and I have been looking forward to writing this letter!

SSBC IS GOING TO RESUME MEETING IN PERSON! After a meeting with the SSBC Leadership Team and Deaconson May 11, the decision was made to resume meeting on May 24, 2020.  A few other churches have started already, but all felt it best to wait just a little longer. As we return to SSBC, it still may not look exactly like we are accustomed to, but IT WILL BE WORSHIP TOGETHER!

Here are some key things to know about May 24, 2020….

▪ Worship on May 24 – 10:45am – 12:00 noon

▪ There will be no Life Groups, Children’s Church, or Nursery (for the present) but please we want to hear your children in church!

▪ ALL doors will open at 10:30am

• Please use the main doors, as well as the two outside doors located in the Sanctuary.  Doors will be propped open for ease.

▪ The key to returning will be social distancing – just as a friendly reminder

• Keep a distance of 6 feet between you and your neighbor.

• I know it is hard but watch those handshakes and hugs.

• Please help all to feel comfortable and safe as we come back together.

▪ Ushers will be on hand to help you in any way needed.

▪ Chairs will be set up around the sanctuary. Please sit as family units only.

▪ Restrooms will be provided with hand sanitizers etc.

▪ Service will be recorded and will be put on-line in the afternoon.

I am sure some of you are feeling uncomfortable about returning.  If so, take your time and return when you are ready.  If you have underlying health issues, you might want to consider waiting for a little longer.   Masks are welcome though not required.

If you have any questions at all, please feel free to contact me at (620)675-0191 or anyone on the Leadership Team / Deacon body.

As we come back together, there is a verse that I want to share!   Psalm 122:1 says “I rejoiced with those who said to me…LET US GO TO THE HOUSE OF THE LORD!”  How good it will be to be in the House of the Lord with each of you!!  Come and let us REJOICE!
